Thee Gronks are heavily influenced by Garage Rock and Psychedelia, while also pulling from the Punk and Noise scenes of modern groups.

Using the DIY ethos, stemming back to the 1960's, Thee Gronks have a captivating sound bursting with energy.

Fronted by Kyle Ray Widener (The Cassowarys, Belligerent Goat) on Guitar and Vocals, this project taps into their Punk roots as opposed to the Garage Soul of The Cassowarys. The band also consists of Jon Budgen (The Cassowarys, STAN) on bass guitar and Lincoln Widener (The Cassowarys, The Goodnight Shadow Machine) on drums. 

Since early 2022 Thee Gronks have been working hard to bring you their take on Garage Rock and Freak-out Psychedelia. Forming as a Jam project for students of SAE during their Mixing and Mastering course, the band recorded a bunch of demos and decided to keep the ball rolling.

After playing shows around Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast throughout 2023/24 the band have a string of releases set for 2025 that is sure to excite.
